Stevns Camping is 10 km south of the town of Køge and only 400 metres from Køge Bay, with excellent opportunities for anglers and only a couple of kilometres to the nearest woods. The ground covers an area of ten hectares with room for 300 units with electricity and 15 cabins for hire.
The area around the ground offers the opportunity to see nature from her most delightful side. Cycle and/ or ramble in Bøgeskov Forest, along Tryggevælde River, in Vallø Castle Park, the town of Køge or follow the trails along Køge River which take you past such attractions as the many small houses in Køge's Old Town. Tryggevælde River is a favourite place to fish for angling enthusiasts.
It is no great distance to Stevns Clint and Fakse Limestone Quarry, and the children have every opportunity to enjoy themselves at BonBon-Land and Fantasy World Amusement Park. With its many sights and excellent shops the town of Køge is always worth a visit. There is a delightful atmosphere in Køge's many old courtyards and there is live music throughout the summer. Market days in the big town square are Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The camping ground is located in the metropolitan public transport area. It is 36 km to Roskilde and 50 km to Copenhagen. The metropolitan bus service stops 200 metres from the ground. Use a CopenhagenCard or a metropolitan transport bus card throughout the capital. This means you can just park your car and take the bus to Køge or the S-Train to visit Copenhagen. It takes one hour by bus from the ground to Copenhagen's City Hall Square.
There are many activities during the season for adults and children alike. These include football, crazy golf tournaments, twistbread for children, the St. Hans Midsummer Bonfire and communal meals.
The ground offers the following facilities:
Bouncy cushion, playground equipment including slide, rubber-tyre cable car, swings, playhouse, sand box, football pitch, beach volleyball, basketball, petanque, campfire area and barbecue, animal pen, ten family rooms, toilets and showers, handicap toilet, 2 children's room, communal house, kitchen and laundry.
Open: 1/1 - 31/12 – possible to book a site during the off-peak season.
